Promotion of Swahili Language and Culture in Canada
Swahili Society Centre intends to promote the use of Swahili language and culture in Canada because Swahili is a major world language and Canadians will benefit greatly by understanding a language spoken by over 100 million people globally. Swahili is worth spreading in Canada because if Canadians truly want to understand and cooperate with East Africans, they must understand the most spoken language in the region and the culture of the people who speak the language.
Swahili is spoken by over 100 million people globally; one can not ignore a language spoken by so many people.
