Swahili Language

Swahili people inhabit the Swahili coast, the area encompasses Tanzania,Kenya, Uganda, Democratic Republic of Congo,Mozambique, Zanzibar and Comoros islands, and some parts of Malawi, Kilwa, Malindi, Pate, and Gedi. Swahili culture was influenced by Arab merchants and settlers and it resulted to Kiswahili language that has borrowed most of its vocabulary from Arab and bantu languages. Swahili culture is comprised of arts and crafts, music, and literature  which includes Swahili films and entertainment . Swahili is currently spoken by more than 100 million people across the globe.
